WELCOME TO AAMISMS
The AAMISMS organization is dedicated to the education of minimally invasive spine surgery and the training of new physicians and surgeons who are eager to learn how treat spinal disorders in a minimalist fashion. Traditional open spine surgery is fast becoming an old way to treat disorders of the spine. Minimally invasive spine surgery has been shown to reduce operative times, narcotic usage, recuperation time and costs, all of which are invaluable in today's medical and legal climate, not to mention that these factors are all beneficial to the patient.
Our site is geared for our Academy Members. AAMISMS publishes a quarterly Journal, an annual Textbook and a Newsletter besides putting on the annual World Congress. Please feel free to visit all the pages on our site and if you have any questions Email Us. Although we can not give medical advise over the internet and will not answer any questions regarding specific medical problems, we do have a Find A Doctor feature which will assist you in locating a physician who practices minimally invasive surgery of the spine.
